Fantastic food. Best steak I've ever eaten. Seriously. The. Best. One. Ever. Tasty and interesting sides like chicken nuggets that have karage vibes. The miso mayo paired with it was delish. The rolls were fluffy and yummy, but nothing really special. The truffle butter/honey it was served with, however, was incredible. Duck fat potatoes were solid and riiiiiich. The baked Brie came with hazelnut filled spicy truffle honey. Holy bazinga! The steak was perfectly cooked. Zero gray band, just wall-to-wall medium rare. Put a little truffle butter on top and you're eating food of the gods. Just wow. You can bring your own wine too! (Still have to pay corkage). Only real critique is the size of the booths. I'm a 6'2" average sized guy and I almost didn't fit. Our go-to fancy casual spot in the Eugene area. Superlative attention to all details of food, drink, and service. Really appreciate their care and consideration with ingredients and about dietary restrictions too! Their specials rotate based on local, seasonal ingredient availability and their main menu gets an update every so often too. If you're looking for a special occasion spot or even just a place to go for a delicious dinner out, George and Violet's is it.
