Strayed from the usual Harris Park staples to try Ginger, which specialises in Mughlai cuisine. The standout dishes were the lamb chops and the thin naans. That said, save yourself the dollar and avoid the garlic naans, the dehydrated garlic lacked any garlic punch. The butter chicken was let down by an overpowering cardamom flavour, while the dal makhani tasted undercooked and relied too heavily on cream rather than the deep, slow-cooked richness the dish is known for. Service was also noticeably slow throughout the evening.

First time eating here and really enjoyed it. The service is excellent, with the waiters checking every so often how we're faring and replacing the water bottle without prompting. The food was yummy too, with the mango chicken very tasty and creamy, the cheese and spinach naan fragrant and moreish, and the chilli garlic chicken momos entree delish! Special mention to the momos' sauce, which had a great chilli kick and tons of spice and taste. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We ordered from Ginger Indian Restaurant through Uber Eats and had a really great experience. We ordered Chilli Chicken, Kadai Chicken, along with Garlic Naan and Laccha Parantha. Despite the delivery taking around 40 minutes, the food arrived in excellent condition. The chicken dishes were still hot and, most importantly, full of flavour. The Chilli Chicken had the perfect balance of spice and tang, and the chicken was tender and well-cooked. The Kadai Chicken was rich, aromatic, and clearly made with fresh spices – you could taste every element of the masala. The Garlic Naan was soft and fragrant, and the Laccha Parantha was flaky and delicious, pairing really well with the curries. It’s impressive how the food retained its quality and taste even after delivery, which says a lot about both the cooking and packaging. Overall, a very satisfying meal and definitely one of the better Indian takeaways we’ve had. Will absolutely be ordering again.
