Yes food alley looks gross but what's not gross is the dumplings here. The best dumplings ever. The wait can be quite long if you go at lunch time but call up and order ahead. Also the Dan Dan noodles are incredible.

I usually go here four or so times a year usually in winter/ autumn I grab 2/3 beef curry buns for a light afternoon snack. Staff are friendly and usually helpful.

I have been searching for the best Dan Dan Noodles in Auckland. Go Believe (near the entrance of Food Alley before the stairs is one of the best. The soup is brilliant red with chili oil, and there are generous portions of mince and peanuts. Delicious! Service is friendly and fast.
