I was passing through town and hadn’t had Golden Chick in a while, so I decided to stop in. To my surprise, as soon as I walked in, the restaurant had a very weird smell. I waited about seven minutes before anyone even said hello or acknowledged me and the person in front of me. There were three people behind the counter working on what looked like to-go orders, and one person was changing something that appeared to be for drinks, possibly iced tea. They made eye contact with us but still didn’t acknowledge us. The restaurant was very dirty. The tables were dirty, the trash was full, there were no lids for the cups, and the ice machine had no ice. While I waited for my food, I went to the restroom, and it was also very dirty. Even the restroom doors were disgusting. I honestly wanted to ask for my money back, but I had already paid with Apple Pay and wasn’t sure how the refund process would work. This restaurant seems very poorly managed. It feels like the owner is either out of town or overlooking a lot, because there’s no way an owner could visit this location and ignore all of these issues.

Hi Kayla, so sorry to hear about this experience. That is not the standard we want. The smell, cleanliness, slow greeting, and restroom issues are unacceptable. We appreciate this feedback and will share it with the location's management to get things cleaned up and staff retrained.
