I've been to several Golden Chick locations over the years, and the Edmond location is by far the best one I've visited. This restaurant deserves a full 5 stars. Everything was fresh and made perfectly. The chicken was outstanding, especially the dark meat, which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The fries were hot and crispy, the macaroni and cheese was fresh and creamy (not soggy or rubbery like you sometimes get), and the rolls were absolutely amazing. The service was excellent, and the drive-thru was fast and efficient. You can tell this location is well managed because the quality of the food and customer service really stands out. If you're deciding between Golden Chick locations in the Oklahoma City area, I highly recommend this Edmond location. Even if it's 15 to 20 minutes farther than another store, it's worth the drive because of how fresh the food is and how well the restaurant is run. I had a slight mishap on one of my orders. Which was resolved promptly and professionally. There’s 3 Managers who accommodated MJ, TJ and Moe. Very respectable staff and I will be back! Thank you!! Firstly- Our family LOVES Golden Chick and we normally order from the Guthrie location when we are visiting the area- tonight we decided to give the Edmond location off Danforth a shot since its less than 8 minutes from our house. We Dropped $128 to feed a crowd at our house at this location only to receive nasty cold chicken (apparently the staff doesn’t know how to update online orders to “ready” for pickup). We waited outside in the parking lot for a while watching the track your order feature on the app move our pick up time to later times and the status bar stayed at the “preparing your order” status and never updated to ready for pick up. This location was practically dead, we were the only ones in the parking lot it seemed. On a whim my husband went in to see if it was close to being ready finally and discovered our family’s food was just sitting on the counter getting cold the whole time while the staff were on their phones just hanging out- we got home and as expected the food is practically cold to weak luke warm in spots, then we opened the gravy and its watered down milk like consistency. It was just gross.We are not normally big on reviewing places negatively but this whole experience made us make an exception. My husband called and the store number and it was forwarded to someone’s personal cell (im assuming a manager by the name of Talal Alsardi as the caller ID indicated) This guy calls my husband back and completely acts like we are making everything up. Tells us the store made our chicken fresh for us when the order was placed- I hope they did! But we never complained of old stale chicken- we complained of cold food and gross watery “gravy” - that we had placed a huge $128 order that the staff let sit and go cold etc- but he chose to pass it off, make excuses for his staff and place it all on us- Even after offering video, pictures and to bring it right back to them- after his insulting attitude we were just over all of it as my husband was ending the call and preparing to find an alternative dinner to feed everyone the “manager” finally tosses out a he will make it right- at that point? nope damage done, trust gone- he should have led with that not try to make excuses and cast blame on the paying customer. Save your money and your health! We chalked this up to $128 lesson and trashed everything! Drive to Guthrie for Golden Chick or choose something else- this location is absolutely terrible. Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I'm very sorry your Danforth visit fell so short. Cold chicken, watery gravy, and a dismissive response are unacceptable, that is not the Golden Chick standard. We value this feedback and will address food quality and staff service at that location. We appreciate you sharing this and regret the experience.
