Coming here to write this because I got a battered chicken supper last night an I was so mad I just couldn't bring myself to ringing up and complaining because It's not the first time this happened either. It doesn't happen a lot but last night's one was horrendous. You could see the batter was severely undercooked from the outside it wasn't Brown enough. It was just golden brown but you could see it needed a little bit more time I could see the and I'm not even a chef. Long story. Cut short though. When I bit into it and started ripping into it, there was a big chunk of uncooked batter the size of a chicken nugget an there was also a hair in the chicken and the chips were also undercooked an They were hard like inside hard and also there was a piece of brown paper on one of the chips. Didn't see it at first but I felt it on my tooth and then I pulled it out and I was like where has that come from because i don't think they have brown paper in that chip shop sorry no photos to share cause just ended up giving it to my dog hasn't put me off the place like as I will definitely order from here again still just had to get that off of my chest an thats the only reason I've given a one star review this time Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When I got home I realised my (large) order was one sausage supper short. Everyone was hungry and it was too much hassle to take it up with you at the time, so effectively the Golden Chip Linlithgow owes me the price of a sausage supper and compensation for the trauma caused by its absence. The food was quite good, though the battered haddock was a bit dry. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10

My husband went to this chip shop tonight. Five people behind the counter and all ignored him standing waiting to be served. He waited 2 mins and then left. Very poor customer service. Will never use again.
