I didn't expect much from this donut shop in the small town of Ione. But, wow, those donuts were delicious. I love that they have 3 fillings ready to inject in donuts - custard, jelly, and lemon. Prices were reasonable too. Great staff too. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $1–10 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection

They are never open when we come by on Sunday mornings- hubby and I waited over an hour after their opening time! Still, no one showed up. It was over 30 min of driving/ gas, etc for us. Also, over priced, and no phone number to call that is in service. Very bad business do not recommend. Must only be the locals who are supporting them- hoping a better donut shop opens nearby and closes these guys down. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

First visit to Ione, and Star Donuts and the blueberry fritters were different. I’ve never had those before but what I really loved was the ham and cheese croissants they were stellar.!!!!
