The owners are sweet and inviting! Got the club and roast beef sandwiches and loved them! We'll be sure to go again next time we're in town!

I came into downtown Portland on a cloudy and rainy morning this summer, and this was the perfect location for a warm and comforting breakfast. The ambience of the Cafe is pretty and nice, with a calming green paint coating the walls, and plenty of nice clean tables with good natural lighting. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, with fast cafe-diner style service. The location is also both convenient and pleasant as The Good Earth Cafe is located both within central downtown Portland and directly across the street from a verdant park. I ordered a very traditional breakfast (literally called "The Classic") for my brunch at the cafe: buttery toast, sunny side up eggs, bacon, and hash brown chips with orange juice. All the ingredients were fresh and noticeably high quality. The food was also exceptionally well-made, with a legitimate homestyle comfort food quality and taste. See pictures of my two plates below! Wait times were surprisingly short and the service was friendly and eager to assist with any requests. It's unfortunate that I came here from out of town, because The Good Earth Cafe would certainly become a regular brunch place for me if I lived in the area. The excellent location and food, as well as affordable prices (cheap for downtown Portland), should make this breakfast and lunch restaurant an essential stop for both Portland tourists and residents!
