I’ve been rocking with Sumter’s only Jamaican spot since it was over on Liberty Street. Them moving over to the base really lets you enjoy the authentic vibes of a family owned business. I often have urgent cravings, for Jamaican cuisine, and they never fail to satisfy my cravings. Just pick something on the menu and dig in. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Rice and Peas, Curry Chicken, Curry Goat, Beef Patties, Beef Patty

Our first and last visit to Good Vibes Authentic Jamaican Food was disappointing. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to its name or reputation. While the staff was friendly and attentive, the food fell flat. We ordered the oxtails and jerk chicken meal, but both were reheated in the microwave— we could hear the beeps, which was a bit off-putting. The overall experience lacked the vibrant, authentic flavors we were hoping for. On a positive note, the bottled pineapple and ginger juice was the best part of the meal. Sadly, this visit didn’t leave us with the good vibes we expected. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

People are nice. If no one ever experience real Jamaican food up north before then this place will seem like the bomb. It was horrible to me. I lived in NJ and had the real the real stuff. I went once, my sister had it and my cousin and it was first n last. People are nice. Real Jamaica place gives you a couple slices of plantians.
