I don't get the hype. Maybe it was an off day, I don't know, it was my first time going there. Food is very average. Place was over packed and very crammed. They did their best to accommodate patrons, however very long wait times. It was neat and tidy enough. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, but seemed overwhelmed and stressed with the crowd. Road side parking. Toilets weren't clean, probably cause they couldn't keep up with cleaning it as they were very busy. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: R 250–300 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Quarter Mutton Bunny Chow, Mutton Breyani

After hearing all about Goundens and that their Bunnies were the best in Durban I had to try it for myself! It was the first time I demolished a quarter bunny completely, I even stole the potatoes from my hubby’s bunny because that’s how lip smacking it was.The food was absolutely fresh, the curries were divine and the potatoes were UTD. The service from the ladies were so good, they were polite and friendly. We received our drinks 5 mins after ordering and the bunnies arrived in just 10mins. I wish I stayed closer to regularly enjoy this amazing curry house but I will use any opportunity to dine there whenever I’m in or around. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
