I genuinely loved this cute spot found it at random and I got their lunch special ! 1. Soup of the day 2. Salad 3. Pick your entree and 4. Drink for $25. Our server Chanci (I don't know how to spell her name) was so funny and attentive! I will definitely come back for Happy hour ! Need a neighborhood spot That go to place with great food and friendly atmosphere? Well, Gourmando is it for us. Nestled on Robinson, one block down from Wilshire and walkable (if you live in the area). Own by a wonderful Couple, who tag team exceptional service. They really get to know you by striking up conversation and making you feel right at home. Food selection is wonderful with a variety of appetizers and entrées. We started with the warm lobster roll (shared it) melted those taste buds. Entrée was the roasted glaze duck breast and seafood pasta . We shared that too (just the thing to do when you're married). Duck was moist, savory and flavorful. Seafood pasta was cooked perfectly à la Dente, sauce was seasoned well and creamy. The highlight (it was my husband's birthday) and he was treated to the Birthday song but better a Chocolate Tarte consist of chocolate ganache, torch, marshmallows, candied spicy pecans, with a side of salted caramel gelato. The presentation was exquisite, served on a cake stand with a Happy Birthday design on the plate and of course the candle. I had the banana foster bread pudding, need I say more, it was delicious We had a delightful time, amazing meal, and will be back for more.
