I rarely have breakfast out unless I’m travelling (and when I do, I want to be sure it’s truly worth it). That’s why I went to Gourmet Lab today, confident I’d find one of the best espressos in town (possibly the best - said by a very picky Italian!). The espresso was perfectly paired with an outstanding banana bread, craft-baked with great care by the wonderful Julia and a freshly squeezed red cranberry juice. As the morning went on, I couldn’t resist a succulent avocado bagel - and it was absolutely worth it. What I love the most about Gourmet Lab is the fact that you can enjoy healthy food without compromising on quality, along with excellent coffee and the genuinely friendly people running the place. Add to that the international atmosphere and the meticulous selection of ingredients and it’s easy to say this has become, by far, my favourite spot. Next time, I really have to try their dumplings!
