If you’ve ever been to Margie’s Kitchen & Cocktails in Andover, you’ll understand why Grackle was already high on our list. It’s the second restaurant from the same owners, and after following them on social media for quite a while, we were excited to finally give it a try. It absolutely lived up to the anticipation. The first thing that stands out is the space itself. The restaurant is beautiful. It’s thoughtfully designed with a modern, welcoming atmosphere that’s both stylish and comfortable. Even on a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was completely packed, which says a lot about how quickly it has built a following. Thankfully, we had reservations for four and were seated right on time. Our server was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving at a great pace without ever making us feel rushed. Drinks arrived quickly. I started with the Garden Fresh cocktail, which was refreshing and well balanced, then switched to a glass of wine with dinner. We shared two appetizers, and both were fantastic. The fresh mozzarella with balsamic and crostini was simple but incredibly flavorful, making it perfect for sharing around the table. We also ordered the Tuna Stacker, which was light, fresh, and exactly what you want in an appetizer. It was satisfying without filling us up before the main course. For dinner, my husband ordered the Smashburger with fries. One detail I really appreciated was the option to order a flight of dipping sauces. It’s a fun addition to the menu and a nice change from the standard ketchup that most restaurants offer. Little touches like that make the experience feel unique. I ordered the steak with spicy noodles, and it was outstanding. The steak was cooked beautifully, packed with flavor, and the portion size was excellent for the price. The noodles were just as impressive. Best of all, when the menu says spicy, they actually mean it. As someone who enjoys food with some real heat, I was thrilled that the spice level delivered without overpowering the dish. It’s absolutely something I would order again. From the gorgeous atmosphere and attentive service to the creative menu and excellent food, Grackle delivered a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. It’s easy to see why it’s become so popular so quickly. We’ll definitely be adding this to our regular list of restaurants whenever we’re in the Maple Grove area.
