As a passionate golf enthusiast, I've had the pleasure of playing at the Quarry Golf Course on two separate occasions. This hidden gem is tucked away in a beautiful development just southeast of Canton, offering a picturesque landscape with rolling hills and numerous ponds strategically incorporated throughout the fairways. The course is studded with a number of signature holes that could easily hold their own against those seen on the PGA circuit. The 18th hole is a prime example, featuring charming homes along the right fairway and a sprawling lake that stretches all the way to the green. Another standout is the par-5 15th hole, a dog-leg right with an elevated tee that provides a panoramic view of the surrounding wooded landscape. One of the highlights of this course is the unique set of par-3 holes. The 6th hole, in particular, stands out as the shortest, challenging golfers with a tee shot that sits high above the green, with a small pond guarding the right side. Careful club selection is a must. It's important to note that the pricing for this course can vary depending on the time of year. When I played in early October, I paid around $47 for a weekday round, but that cost went up to about $60 when I played on a Friday afternoon at the end of October. However, I should mention that during my last visit, I encountered a few issues. Approximately a third of the greens were covered in fallen leaves, and the putting green on the 5th hole was still in need of repair due to an eroded surface, making it feel like putting on gravel. Despite these minor hiccups, I thoroughly enjoyed my overall experience at the Quarry Golf Course. For fellow golf enthusiasts looking for a unique and memorable addition to their weekend golfing adventures, I highly recommend adding this course to your bucket list.
