I'll keep it short and sweet, if Grinds was not so close to my house I would go to Starbucks every day for 1 reason only, the lady that's rude and grouchy. Every regular knows exactly what I'm talking about because it's always the topic when discussing how great the food and coffee are. I've noticed other reviews have mentioned it as well. I am in Sales and there's a phrase I like to remind myself... 'not all business is good business' Don't ask for anything special with your coffee or food, you'll get the eye roll or even back talk with attitude about what this person has to make.. When I order the exact same drink at Starbucks its never an issue. In fact, they are very happy to make it and tell me it's not an issue whatsoever when I apologize for the drink I like, and I realize I'm only apologizing to them because I feel like I have to apologize to the grouchy lady at Grinds every time I get that look and attitude for asking for it. Like I said the food and drinks are wonderful but this place deserves 3 stars just because of 1 person and she's there every day. refused to even serve me and had a bunch of kids taking up multiple tables and being really loud in their lobby. poor experience and just sucks cause the only sit in coffee shop around me really UPDATE: i can excuse the kids. i actually think its sweet you let them sit in there but maybe limit how much space they can take up and how loud they get. but no sir, one of your employees and one of your supposed ‘managers’ was backing her about the decision to kick us out for doing absolutely nothing wrong. My girlfriend and I didn’t even make it to the counter when we were approached and told we could leave and that they would not serve us. we didn't do anything wrong so i was very confused about the rudeness. we were just looking at the menu and waiting on a friend to get out of the bathroom when we were approached with such rudeness and they even threatened to call the owner if we disagreed. i simply asked why and your employee replied that she didn’t like my girlfriend (again we hadn’t even said anything to them or even tried to order yet) and because of that we could get out, were not welcome, and that they wouldn’t serve me or anyone with me. i was meeting a friend that was coming through town so we were looking for a place to sit and talk. luckily my friend has already ordered (glad this didn't ruin his day too) but bc of your employees rudeness and telling us to leave we had to sit outside. your employees also proceeded to go outside every-time they didn’t have customers in the store to hit their vapes in front of the shop and making rude looks at us who were talking by our cars. Overall it was just an awful experience and you will never get business from me or anyone i know again because of this. this isnt even the first review ive seen about your employee being rude so maybe you should do something about it before you have no more business new update: ok so your employees are lying to your face. you can check cameras or ask any other customers in there at the time but we were not harassing anyone or causing trouble. LIKE I SAID BEFORE WE HADNT EVEN MADE IT TO THE COUNTER TO ORDER YET WHEN WE WERE APPROACHED WITH THIS RIDICULOUS RUDENESS. i personally have no beef with any of your employees or know them at all. just so yk your employee is the hateful one that is singling people out on social media not my girlfriend. we didnt go to harass anyone or even to see said employee like i told them i was meeting a friend and looking for a place too sit down and talk. they saw us in the parking lot talking to my friend for over an hour so again your employees are liars and i refused to be humiliated in public and then called a liar about it. I also just think its hilarious you’re trying to say we were harassing over personally issues when that’s exactly what your employee did (like i said we were looking at the menu when she approached us being rude out of nowhere). i just wanted coffee and to sit down with a friend but no i got humiliated and my day ruined instead. Hi Alexis, we do everything we can to keep the after school kids from being loud but from about 3:30 till 4pm, they are there. We have asked kids to leave in the past & got the same 1 star reviews or attacked by parents over it to get even with us for kicking kids out. We are in a tuff spot & have been in the same situation for the 11years we have been open. I’m sorry for your bad experience but unless you came in after 4:30pm when we close, I seriously doubt that any one of our employees “Refused to serve you”. Have a good day. John, Owner UPDATE: I talked to all of my employees that were working when you and your girlfriend came in. I found out that you are an ex-roommate of the one you are singling out and apparently your friendship did not end well. You two came in harassing her and causing trouble. That is why you were not served. If I was on site & you harassed anyone of our employees, I not only would have refused to serve you, but I would have asked you to immediately leave my store. You have no right to come into our business & harass anyone of our employees trying to do their job, especially over a personal problem that has ZERO to do with Grinds. I will consider this a fake review because it’s all based on your outside relationship with our employee and not our store. Fake reviews that can damage our business are taken very seriously. There can be google privilege consequence and legal consequences based on you trying to damage my business’ and/or reputation. This is a bad idea in any case. There is a delete review button. You should Google "Can there be legal consequences for leaving fake business reviews in Arkansas?" And we lock our restrooms daily during the time the kids come in because of past vandalism issues. So, your last edit it also not true. I also saw the fake 1 star review not long after yours from a fake account. Not a good idea.
