Cuando visites Ground Level Coffee, tienes que probar su sensacional té de matcha, su magnífico té verde con leche o su delicioso café con leche helado. Hidden gem in Chinatown for all coffee lovers. I'm an Italian girl visiting my boyfriend in Calgary and was looking for a good cappuccino (you all know how difficult it is to have a good coffee when abroad ). By chance I discovered this place, where the staff is super lovely and the cappuccino is next level! I came back 3 days in a row, brought also my boyfriend. Besids cappuccino and iced latte , I tried also the matcha latte. They have many different flavours and the lady working there was super nice, explaining us all the difference regarding the ingredients and tastes. In conclusion, ingredients (coffee beans, matcha, etc) are top quality, beverages are prepared with passion! Definitely going back next time I'll be in town. Ground Level Coffee just recently opened so not everything is there yet, but what they do have you can easily tell there is thought put through their drinks. I was recommended the banana matcha. Most places have a sweet flavour with the coffee or matcha as the background, not here. The richness and bitterness (in a good and natural way of tea) of the matcha is gently balanced with its flavouring. I don’t usually like banana flavoured items but I had my mind changed here. They are also partnered up with local bakery for their own bake goods. The melon pan (melon bread) is the closest thing I had from Japan that still has the crisps outer cookie and soft bread texture, I was also lucky to have one that has a sweet custard inside. Please give this place a try and support them. I hope you will enjoy and have a relaxing moment for yourself here at Ground Level Coffee. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
