When the portions are 500 g, 1 kg and up, you know you’re in for a feast! Nice small restaurant where the joy of the owner is contageous, and you feel like eating at your friends place. The service was great, no english menus so use Google Translate and you should be fine. You grill your own food, so that was fun for a tourist. If you are not familiar with expression ”food coma”, come to eat here, you will experience that after devouring mountain of meat (and veggies). 10/10 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

As someone who almost never comments on google, this couple’s restaurant truly deserves a review: Gyusuke has hands down the best beef & lamb we’ve had in Hokkaido! The small beef hotpot was so flavorful, with loads of sliced beef cut to just the right thickness and vegetables to balance, enough for 2 people; the homemade dipping sauce is out of this world! The genghis khan lamb rice don was so delicious, a mix succulent fatty and lean meat, with onions and rice soaking up the sauces, the combo comes with miso soup and pickled cabbage. Mmmm Fairly priced meal for two under JPY 10,000. Must not be missed! Food: 5 Service: 5
