Host is one of the finest places to eat in La Rochelle. The place opened in 2025, has found the perfect harmony between the food, the service, the atmosphere and the decoration. A great experience based on a fresh, yet small offer in a simple menu formula. The products are honest and prepared with lots of flavor. The waiters are very much aware of the expectations of their customers. A place where you feel hosted! Congrats to the entire team and hope to be back soon. True gem of a restaurant. The service was amazing. Friendly and funny. The food was amazing. Incredible value at €78 for 7 exceptional, well balanced courses that all worked in perfect harmony. The lamb dish is one of the best I've ever had. My partner also had the pescetarian tasting menu which they were happy to accommodate and her pollock dishes was also delicious. The only tiny negative I could add is perhaps the portion sizes are a little too big, but you're doing pretty well if the only criticism is "too much food". Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €80–90
