Never seen patrons entering and leaving.
Friend decided to have his birthday dinner there.
I had a wiener schnitzel, very good!
Tasted the Corden Bleu, lamb shanks, lasagna dish.
The Bleu was delicious, definitely having that in future. Lamb shanks came right of the bone, so soft. Lasagna dish, sizing a bit small but worth it.
Service - very good
Atmosphere - relaxed
Food - tasty
Drink variety - good
Revisit - yes
I’m currently a third year student on Tygerberg campus and couldn’t believe that this incredible spot was right under our noses only 6min away!
The decor takes you back in time and the staff are extremely polite. We ordered the gnocchi and ravioli and it didn’t disappoint! From the flavorful meat sauce, freshly made pasta to the bread rolls served as a starter, I will definitely be visiting this place again! What caught my eye was the way the owner greeted all the customers and talked to them like family. Don’t let the location put you down, go for a true Italian experience!!
Everybody who's heard of the Harlequin knows it's one of the oldest, most renowned restaurants around. For more than five decades, this Italian palace has been feeding hungry mouths and they don't plan on stopping soon.
And why should they? The atmosphere is not even in question because you feel every breath that's ever passed through there when you enter, and the food is so authentic you might not even recognize it as something special until you're back in the car, on the way home, thinking 'I've never had anything like that and I won't ever again unless I return to the Harlequin'. And you're right, because there's just that something so special about this place, you simply can't fault it.
Go try my little corner of Italian heaven. It's really something.
