We have visited 4 times now, about once a month since moving to the area. We love craft beer, local business and breweries so we've been happy to keep trying Harsens Island. We were really disappointed today. I have a couple suggestions and I really hope you consider them. You have such great potential. - Your prices are a bit high for food. We got nachos today, added the meat for an extra charge and when it came out it was mostly lettuce and tomato topping. - Always offer a couple flagships. We liked your Jobbie Nooner and Angel IPAs. My husband liked one of your basic porters. It would be nice to go and know I can try new beers while drinking a favorite.Good luck and I hope things get better.

Peanut brown was an excellent full bodied beer. Calm relaxed atmosphere. Staff is accommodating. I will be back soon. Hopefully st. Paddy's day.

It was March of 2017 that I went to Harsens Island Brewery. Until this past weekend, it was my second trip and it did not disappoint! The service was just a little bit slower when my grandfather and I arrived at HIB on an early Saturday afternoon. It appears as though there were only two people working in the entire establishment. Even though it was pretty empty when we came in at around 11:30 am, but as we left the place, it was filling up with people entering the restaurant. The service was not bad because we just took our time and had a nice conversation. Food is also offered on the menu and not just the beer. I got the cobb salad, and it was very delicious! One forkful of the cobb salad with all the fixings and ranch dressing (on the side), and OMG, my eyes were bigger than my pupils! Unsure if I had loved the salad so much, it was my grandad's Reuben sandwich and onion rings that were literally one of the best sandwiches and sides he'd had. The onion rings were perfectly deep fried, but not too deep fried as to not taste the onion. For my salad, I loved the toppings for the salad, and dare I say this, everything in that cobb salad tasted like CAPAC (cow and pig and chicken; from ranch dressing, bacon and ham, grilled chicken) heaven! The beer selection was great too! I tried the Ca Phe beer, and had two four-ounce glasses of it. It tasted perfectly balanced between beer and coffee; just like a coffee stout! This beer I had was quite amazing to the taste and that's the way how beer is meant to be made. The inside of the building is very stunning. They even have a number of televisions with different sports channels. It is a very fair-priced restaurant! If I'm ever back in the area, I'm coming back for a cobb salad or a sandwich!
