I'm still a bit confused about the whole experience yesterday. I honestly haven't had worse service anywhere. It was so poor that it became comical , every single thing was an issue, the staff were extremely unimpressed with any request, far be it from us to ask for cutlery in a restaurant, 4 forks , 5 knives, 4 napkins , 5 glasses for 6 people. It made no sense. Missing drinks, awful cocktail full of salt and no replacement or refund when expressed to waitress. Half an hour before we got our drinks, multiple multiple requests (nothing crazy just asking for water, asking if we could order) were ignored and given dirty looks. A particularly poignant moment was when I (the only person who actually asked for water) wasn't given a glass and I said to the waitress we only had 5 glasses and she said "oh okay well do you want a glass or ? " and stood looking at me like I had two heads. I'm so confused with the attitude and service, the food was okay, the calamari was really not good but main was 100% we got two small pots of roasties to share between 6 people meaning some of the party got none. Very strange setup. I always give reviews as credit where credit is due but this is not good. I really hate giving a bad review but this is really poor. An absolutely lovely venue and could be amazing but it was just wild. Service: 1

I honestly would have given zero stars if this was an option for the service received on 28/4/24. With resident seating area that was not overly busy I'm shocked at how lack the service was. Drinks were taken some what promptly. The lady making the drinks had no sense of urgency. The drink I had ordered was full of salt which I did hand back half filled. When drinks finally arrived 30 minutes later, the waitress had no idea what she was doing. She held up a drink and asked "who's is this", "I'm assuming this is a coke" and looked at the last member of the team and said "am I missing something?" I found this funny as surely people are trained better than that. Food was lovely! I will say after I finally received cutlery after having to go to the bar and ask for it. It really is disappointing that service being so slow would let this hotel down. It wasn't busy, it was a quiet and mellow Sunday and I am waiting for the same generated response from the manager which I have seen on others reviews. Honestly I think the staff here would thrive with a bit more attention to detail and time management and I wish them the best! Service: 1

We decided to try the restaurant in the Haslem hotel. The decor is really nice and a good lively atmosphere. I have to say we were disappointed with their being only one vegetarian option in the main courses. It was incredibly small and seemed to consist of cauliflower and not much else. As a vegetarian meal could be bulked up with rice, vegetables or salad I'm surprised the chef didn't do this to make the meal a bit more appetising.
