You are paying scene tax when you eat here. I had the crab sandwich and although it was tasty there was not much of it for £13.50. Served on 2 flimsy medium slices of bread, no garnish, presentation was not great, No toilets on premises, you have to use public toilets around the corner. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Crab Roll

18:43 Disappointed! My Father and I visited at lunchtime Easter Monday. I asked for sparkling water as I was driving but surprisingly it was not on the menu so had to settle for tap water. We both ordered Crab sandwiches which arrived with very dry stale bread and the flavour of the crab was overpowered by strong lemon. We were not given a serviette so we had to use our own tissues and were not even asked how our meal was!! I needed to use the ladies while I was there and was directed to the public toilets down the road!! Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the whole experience and definitely will not be returning. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Dear Amanda Thank you for taking the time to write your review and I am very sorry that your …Dear Amanda Thank you for taking the time to write your review and I am very sorry that your experience today at Hatch was poor. I was at Hatch today and took your order so remember you and your dad. I was helping out as some staff had called in sick and I was fully responsible for not delivering the napkins and for that I am very sorry. I am disappointed that the crab sandwich wasn’t acceptable, I will take a look tomorrow at the date of the bread. This year we have removed sparkling water from our offer as it comes in a plastic bottle but I can see that we should consider reintroducing this, particularly as you say when guests are driving. Finally to toilets. We don’t have any customer toilets and we try where possible to bring this to a customers attention before ordering, I didn’t do this and for that I am very sorry. I would like to invite you and your dad back to Hatch in the future as my guest to try to make up for this disappointment Apologies again and please do contact us through google or our website contact if you are interested to visit as our guest again More

We had some lovely food from Hatch on the harbour, I couldn't fault the food one bit. Absolutely incredibly fresh and sooo tasty! However we were a little taken aback by the older waitresses sarcastic comments. We placed an order, roughly £100 worth of food. My partner wanted a small plate of fish and chips on the side, just to try it. We asked the waitress if we could have the kids cod and chips on the side (only cod on the menu) to then be told "no that's for children only if you read it properly" we said yeah we read it, it usually just means its a smaller portion right? The response we got was a scoff, eyeroll and "no its for children only, this is a seafood restaurant" .. I know we've just ordered 2 whole lobsters, and almost everything else on the menu!! other than this it is a lovely place to eat and the other waitress was really friendly and approachable, just such a shame about the attitude we recieved! Sounded like she was from America so possibly a culture/language barrier, coming across as rude without intending to. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60
