I was craving for Hainanese chicken rice so I googled "best Hainan rice in Doha" and this place popped up. We ordered laksa & steamed chicken rice, and right away they served chicken soup with ginger & chili sauce, the holy trinity of condiments in chicken rice. So I thought to myself, "wow this place is legit." Then came these 2 orders. Hainan chicken rice's foundations are there, but they lack of salt. It's a shame because I do really enjoy the flavor base. Laksa, however, is the superstar of the day!! Rich, umami, a bit spicy (but not overpowering at all). We paired it with flat noodles as per they recommend, and it is superb went back for the 2nd time and tried the yellow noodle. Both are good, but if you prefer something chewier, I'd recommend the flat one. It has similar texture with thai rice noodle. But I do enjoy the yellow noodle as well! The place is a bit small tho, and seating area is only available on the 2nd floor like many restaurants in Doha. The stairs are quite steep so the accessibility is not easy, especially if you're bringing elders. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: QAR 50–100

The Hainanese chicken rice and Kaya toast were excellent. I enjoyed it so much that after finishing one meal at the restaurant, I immediately ordered 2 more portions to take away. The lady at the cashier, Ms.Gladys, was incredibly friendly and kind. She remembered not only my preferences but also those of other customers, which made the experience feel very personal. Her excellent customer service made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended! I recently had a takeaway from Hawker Street, and I really enjoyed it. The Hainanese chicken stood out in particular it was tender, flavorful, and well-prepared. Even as takeaway, the quality held up nicely. Definitely a spot I’d return to when I’m craving good Southeast Asian flavors.
