Super affordable and delicious Hainanese chicken rice! A Cantonese delight! The Original: The chicken was tender and boneless, making it easy to eat; the rice soaked up the chicken broth, making it flavorful and aromatic; the dipping sauce is different from typical Hainanese chicken rice, resembling soybean paste, and a bit salty, but this was just right because the chicken itself has no base flavor. Most importantly, it was great value for money--$12.95 for eight pieces of meat, a serving of rice, and a side of radish soup. What more could you ask for? Thai Tea: Very weak and not good. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Am a Singaporean Chinese who loves my chicken rice. Used to cook it when I was a student. Ordered the “mix”, which comes with a portion of steamed chicken and a portion of friend chicken. The portions were fairly decent and somewhat generous for the price. The steamed chicken was a little too firm, maybe from having been overcooked. The fried chicken was alright. The rice however was a little underwhelming in flavour and the texture could have been a little more fluffy. Also, wished some form of sour spicy chilli sauce was available to accompany the chicken. Lady at the counter is very friendly. Overall - a decent place to come by for comfort Asian food, especially if you are a student on a budget. Thank you for keeping prices manageable.
