I recently stopped by Henry's Cafe while passing through Tehachapi, and I can honestly say I had a really good experience. This is a smaller mom-and-pop style restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and a constant flow of customers coming in and out, which is always a good sign. Even though they were busy, the service was fast and efficient. My waitress was extremely kind, attentive, and helpful when it came to navigating the menu. She checked on me multiple times throughout my visit and made sure everything was taken care of. The coffee was good. I personally prefer very strong coffee, and while it wasn’t super strong, it still tasted great. I also appreciated that they offered flavored creamers along with half-and-half. I ordered a classic breakfast with two sausage links, two strips of bacon, and two eggs over medium, along with biscuits and gravy. I love biscuits and gravy, and these were definitely homemade style since they’re made in-house. They were delicious. Honestly, the entire meal was excellent. I normally don’t hand out high ratings based off a single visit because everybody can have an off day, but this place genuinely impressed me. I looked around during my visit, and everyone seemed happy with their food and service. Parking is somewhat limited because of the busy area, but it’s definitely manageable and not difficult to find a spot. The location is conveniently located not far off Highway 58, making it easy to find if you’re traveling through town. Overall, I would absolutely come back here again if I’m ever in the area. I’d give Henry’s Cafe 4 out of 5 stars. I always believe in leaving room for improvement, and everyone’s experience may be different, so I encourage anyone reading this to stop by, create your own experience, and form your own opinion. For me personally, the food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the visit was well worth it. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
