Intro: I have been to quite a few speakeasies in my day. So this is meaningful: Here Nor There is one of the best speakeasies I've ever been to, top three for sure. Even though I was initially annoyed. To access the speakeasy, you have to download their app. This is the part I didn't like. Downloading the app allows you to finalize your reservation and they will then send you a code. This speakeasy is located close to the heart of 6th Street. I stopped by on a Monday night. Ambiance (5/5): If you haven't seen pics, finding the speakeasy isn't easy. There's a gate that looks like it would lead to an apartment complex or something. No signage. A true speakeasy which is something I appreciated. Once you open the gate, there's an opening on the right. Walk down the hallway and press the button. They will let you in and Rasputin the stuffed bear will greet you with a complimentary champagne flute. A nice touch. From there, the hostess will seat you. I was seated at the bar. All of the hallmarks of a speakeasy are there: elegance, dim lighting, and nice decor. Service (5/5): Upon being seated, the bartender immediately checked in with me. He explained the menu and then gave me time to peruse the menu. He returned shortly thereafter and took my order. He was friendly and attentive throughout my time there despite the bar being pretty busy. Drinks (5/5): I ended up going with Daydreaming and talk about feeling like I was daydreaming. This cocktail resembles taking a stroll outside and daydreaming. The cocktail itself is light blue to resemble the sky. From there, they create an edible bubble of sorts that resembles a cloud. And a large bubble of sorts. The presentation was very, very cool. Describing it doesn't do it justice. Check out the pic to see it in all its glory. Their menu is themed and the bartender told me that they periodically change their menu. Food (N/A): While they do have some light bites, I was on a liquid diet that evening so I can't comment on that. If you're a speakeasy fanatic like me, or if you've never been to one and have always been curious, check out Here Nor There. It takes a little planning and you have to jump through some hoops but it's well worth it!
