Hins Kitchen has been in Towcester for at least a year now and I have to admit that the reason that we never tried it sooner was because it is a 'Cash Only' premesis - we rarely have cash so didn't bother. However, the usual local chinese takeaway that we've always used has gone so downhill (and also became 'Cash Only) that we decided to try Hin's Kitchen last night and I am SO disappointed in ourselves that we waited so long! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly welcome. The atmosphere is bright and clean. There are menus placed on each side of the work-top for easy ordering. The prices are very reasonable and on par with other take-aways. As for the food - so good! My kids are thrilled that we have a local that finally has dumplings on offer. We ordered the chicken & vegetable dumplings, chicken chow mein, vegetable chow mein, king prawn Kung Po and sweet and sour prawn balls in batter. The food was very fresh tasting and not greasy and heavy tasting at all. There was a lot of flavour in each dish. The portions were large and I was pleasantly surprised to receive as many king prawns in my order as I did. All-in-all, fantastic food and customer service. We will definiitely be back to try other dishes. Hin's Kitchen is by far the best local chinese take-away in Towcester and I do hope that the quality stays.
