Our waitress was great, she was friendly and gave the perfect amount of attention to everyone in our party of six. If I could give separate reviews it would be a five star for service. We were looking forward to a pleasant dining experience. However, we were unaware until our arrival that there was to be live “music”. I don’t like to be unkind but the performance was terrible. Even though we asked to be seated in another room, the noise that consisted of inexperienced guitar strumming and a caterwauling sound from the singer, made a very expensive meal, very unpleasant. The food was not stellar either. The salad bar was very plain, offering nothing you would not get in a simple side salad. Our main course consisted of a small serving of steak and a small side. The presentation was not at all like the pictures on the website. The steak was very good, however. It wouldn’t take much to make the Hitching Rack a nice place to take guests for a special evening out, but the live “music” needs to go and the food and presentation need improvement. This review is meant to offer constructive criticism not to air my complaint, because I would like to see this business succeed. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Did you let your manager know on any of these aspects? What artist was playing? We support local artists to help them build themselves with a live audience.
