I didnt visit the rooms i only visited the buffet but the food and dinner was very good and the atmosphere is really good here

Rating: Unacceptable oversight – Room 1326 rendered uninhabitable due to overwhelming odour I regret to report an extremely disappointing experience at Holiday Inn Meydan, stemming entirely from the condition of Room 1326. Upon entering the room, I was immediately confronted by a pervasive and offensive odour – a combination of mustiness, dampness, and what appeared to be lingering super bad smell. The smell was so pronounced that remaining in the space for even a brief period proved genuinely uncomfortable. It was, quite simply, uninhabitable. What I find most troubling is the apparent absence of any pre-check or quality control process. It is inconceivable that a hotel of this brand's standing would assign a room to a paying guest without a basic visual and olfactory inspection. A member of the housekeeping or front desk team walking into Room 1326 for no more than five seconds would have identified the issue immediately. This level of negligence suggests a systemic failure in room readiness protocols. Upon discovering the issue, I contacted reception. The response was markedly underwhelming – slow to act, lacking in urgency, and devoid of a sincere apology. A room change was eventually arranged, but not before considerable frustration and wasted time. I cannot recommend Holiday Inn Meydan based on this experience. Overlooking such a fundamental aspect of guest comfort reflects poorly on the property's management and operational standards. Prospective guests would be wise to explicitly request avoidance of Room 1326 – or, ideally, to seek accommodation elsewhere.
