Me and my mum visited HOME Manchester before a concert at Co-op Live, and it turned out to be the perfect pre-show spot. We pre-booked parking at Q-Park First Street using a discount code, which made everything super easy and stress-free. I’m vegan and my mum isn’t, so we’re always on the lookout for places that cater well to both and HOME has been on my list for a while, so this felt like the perfect opportunity to try it. We arrived around 5pm on a Monday, so it was nice and quiet. At first, we sat downstairs in the bar area as we didn’t realise the restaurant (which I’d booked) was upstairs, but the staff were really helpful and quickly pointed us in the right direction. Upstairs, the space is really open and spacious, and we were lucky enough to get a window seat , perfect for a bit of people watching. The atmosphere felt relaxed but still special. For food, my mum chose the buffalo chicken pizza and I went for the bean stew. The service was quick, and both dishes were spot on my stew was full of flavour and really comforting, and my mum absolutely loved her pizza. The staff throughout were friendly, welcoming and attentive. We also shared desserts: the vegan banana sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and the chocolate truffle torte with forest fruit sorbet both were delicious and a great way to finish the meal. Price wise, I’d say it’s slightly on the higher side if you’re not using any deals, but for central Manchester and the type of venue, it’s what you’d expect. Overall, a lovely meal and a perfect pre-concert choice I’d definitely return. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Vegan options too
