Small but mighty it's absolute gem of a little tap for great real ales. I believe they rotate the beers, seeing the ales come straight from the keg is such a nice sight to see. Outside seating was lovely in the sunshine. The upstairs room looks great for those winter days. Great experience, looking forward to visiting more often.

Great little find, recommended by Beer Guide, pistachio cream milk stout by local brewery, place tiny but with lots of character, friendly bar staff + locals. Tasty home cooked pork scratchings were the cherry on top Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I can't say anything about the inside but we were sitting outside waiting for it to open in about 10 minutes and a man stuck his head out of the Hop In and rudely said, we're not open yet. His manner was telling us with out a doubt to go away. My brother who is staying with us at the moment and who liked the Hop In asked us to take him there especially. We won't be going back to such an unwelcoming venue. We went to the Peasant and it was delightful, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
