For this experience, I had walked in. I wasn't sure where to start if I was supposed to sit myself or be seated. I figured out that you go up and order, then the cashier will give you a table number. They gave me a spot next to the window which was great! Hopdoddy Burger Bar had an urban and clean aesthetic. Almost similar to street/skater style but not so grungy. This location can be found on the side of Union Station which is neat as there is just the right amount of traffic for a night out. It was not too busy around 7 pm while there was a concert and baseball game that night. The service was friendly as they even gave us suggestions and recommendations on what to order. The menu simply consisted of fries, burgers, chicken, and many drinks. The food was amazing. The Doddy Melt had plenty of flavor. The toasted rye bread and sauces kept together well. I also had gotten the Nacho Fries. However, the Nacho Fries did get a little soft with all the toppings once it was all mixed. The Oreo Shake was another item I had ordered, again a great choice. The place was well kept, and the tables we were seated at had paper towels ready to use. As it was a messier style of eating, it made sense and was fitting for the overall aesthetic. I wasn't too pleased with the service. They did not seem to attend my table too much. The food also came out in an odd order. The burger came first, then the fries, and then the shake. I suppose that this was done for complete freshness and quickness. But I would have liked my fries first, burger, then shake. The Doddy Melt is 14.95, Nacho Fries is 9.95, and Oreo Shake is 7.50. Overall these prices did match up to the proportions and all together experience. I would suggest Hopdoddy Burger Bar for someone who is looking for plenty of options when it comes to fries, burgers, and drinks. They offered unique styles of burgers that were refreshing from the typical cheeseburger you may get from anywhere else. My overall experience was great, just not perfect. The food was amazing and would recommend it. They just lacked in service and checking in on the table. 1-10 average. 1 being terrible, 5 being average, 10 being perfect. 8 - Food Quality 6 - Service 8 - Ambiance 8 - Cleanliness 9 - Price Average 7.8. I would consider this to be a good place. An above-average food spot for sure!
