I visited Hoshi Pgh during the lunch rush and had a disappointing experience. The menu stated meals came with steamed rice and vegetables, with fried rice listed as a $3 upgrade. However, white rice was unavailable, and customers who wanted white rice were still required to get fried rice and pay the extra charge. If white rice is unavailable, customers should not be upcharged for fried rice. That is not the customer’s fault. The ordering process also felt rushed and abrupt. I got to the truck around 12:00, but my order was not taken until about 12:05, and I did not receive my food until about 12:20. Since I only had a 30-minute lunch break, that left me with about 10 minutes to eat. After we had already ordered and were waiting, we were told orders could be texted ahead, but that was not communicated beforehand and would have been helpful to know in advance. I shared this feedback privately first and did not receive a response, which is disappointing. Clearer communication during busy lunch times, and making sure menu pricing matches what customers are actually offered, would make a big difference. Service: 1

Food has absolutely no flavor except salt. My 2 year old niece can do a better job. If you’re going to advertise as Chinese food learn how to cook it. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
