Had a great meal and drinks at Boerhaave. Parked under the church, blue zone. 1 minute walk to the front door. Inside a cozy place, brown cafe atmosphere and many tables beyond the bar. Pleasantly busy on this Friday evening. Many beers on tap (and bottle) to choose from. Also great for an evening of beer tasting! The waitress gave us a lot of information about what was available in addition to the regular menu. So I now know that it is asparagus season. My Brugse Zot was served promptly, plus the large sandwich beforehand with plenty of spreads. Start with a no-nonsense carpaccio and an excellent salmon tartare. The Argentinian beef skewer, spare ribs and satay we ordered were really good. The beef on the skewer was cooked perfectly pink. Super tasty and beautifully served with chimney curry, some tomatoes and of course a single asparagus. My group was also very pleased with their dish; spare ribs with a bit of bite, so you don't feel like the animal died 3 years ago. The satay was also delicious and the fries were nice and crispy down to the last bit. Somewhat clumsily walking back home from the Zot. Let's do it again! Service: 5 Location: 5
