So today at butlins in minehead my family and I were all enjoying a morning at the showdome whilst my son and nephew decided to play a game of pool in Hotshots. 25 minutes into the 1 hour slot the fire alarm started to go off and the red coats were evacuating us all to the evacuation points. I got my daughter and proceeded to get to hotshots to get my son and nephew and ushered them all outside. After about an hour I we went back to the showdome and i thought maybe they could finish the 30 minites of pool they had left and pick up the deposit that we put down for the pool cues. I approached the same man who served me and explained we left 30 minutes early and we didn’t manage to get out deposit back either. This man replied if you let your timer run out that’s your problem, if you chose to evacuate thats on you. I said well the alarm was going off and he said yes it was in the showdome but not in here. Bearing in mind Hotshots is inside the showdome. I spoke to a lovely lady called melody in the bookings shop who was really helpful but was shut down by management who took the side of hotshots in that the fire alarm wasn’t going off in there only the showdome. Fabulous health and safety protocols butlins.

Good value for money. Bowling alley with pool and snooker tables.The prices could be better, pool was £7 for an hour.
