We were so sad when Howdy’s closed up at the Malibu Country Mart, and thrilled to see it back again at the new Whole Foods center. All I wanted was my favorite Mexican Pizza, and while it was not on the menu, the super-friendly staff said they were happy to make it. We also had a sushi burrito which was amazing. The perfect meal after a strenuous hike. The new digs have a beautiful shaded (and heated) side patio. A real honor meeting Howdy and chatting with him today, and we’re so glad he decided to bring back the restaurant in the spirit of his daughter. His optimism is clearly infectious among the upbeat employees, and we will be back for more lunches and breakfasts for sure!!! Highly recommended (but let’s just keep it our secret, right?)
