This place has a great atmosphere but mediocre food and service. It is on the left side of the gorge and they just do coffee and light breakfast. They do have gluten-free waffles but they are from a box and the eggs are an egg Patty, also previously frozen... Food is not their specialty at all the coffee is... the coffee was meh. You have to order at the desk but the menu is at the desk so even if you're waiting you can't look at the menu and the menu does not have prices on it though I will say it was the cheapest breakfast we had had in a while. I had one tiny gluten-free waffle and one egg Patty. My husband had a breakfast sandwich which he ate two bites of. . We will not be back but we also learned while we were there that the gorge serves brunch on Sundays so that we will do Price per person: $1–10 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free waffles

We're sorry your visit did not meet your expectations. Our breakfast offerings are definitely more aligned with a cafe versus a full service brunch. We do have two menu boards in addition to the menu at the register so guests are able to look at options while waiting in line and a copy of the detailed allergen menu is located at the register as well. Also, just to clarify the waffle mix is used so we are able to provide more gluten free options to our guests safely and we prep the egg patties in house from whole eggs. We hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

On New Year’s Day, trying to find someplace open for breakfast, we stumbled into Hug in a Mug Café and ended up meeting the owners, Barbara and Zach Raub. What a great surprise in tiny Weissport. The café’s part of a cooperative space with other small businesses, and their section is bright and welcoming, filled with big leafy plants, large windows, and the smell of great coffee. We felt relaxed the moment we walked in. We had egg and bacon breakfast sandwiches on sourdough, along with fresh pastries, Americanos, and lattes. Everything was excellent, fresh, thoughtfully made, and piping hot. If you’re anywhere near Weissport, we’d recommend Hug in a Mug Café any day of the week. It’s the kind of place you’re glad you stumbled into. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: They offered gluten free waffles and desserts and very mindful on the topic
