On the recommendation of some volunteers at the retreat center I'm staying at, I began checking out various coffee shops in the area beyond the one I know well (to remain nameless). Hye Ground is located in Downtown Racine and it is an adorable little place. The coffee is great, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere cozy. It was a bit loud when I was there (due to a group of guys hanging out and chatting), but I enjoyed my time there. What I appreciated was the individual who appears to be the owner came over and thanked me for stopping in. Even though I'm only visiting, it made me want to make this place a regular stop (little far for me to enjoy regularly, but definitely will visit when I come back to the area). Check it out...well worth navigating the downtown parking situation! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
