We recently moved to Myerstown and kept wanting to stop in for a quick bite and some of their soft serve ice cream on sugar cones, so we stopped by today and were we ever sorry we waited so long to do so. They were very busy yet they managed to get our order to us in no time and it was delicious. I had a double cheeseburger and waffle fries and my wife had a fish sandwich...and both meals were perfectly cooked...but the real treat was the ice cream, so cold and creamy on a hot day that we had to eat it fast to stay ahead of it melting. But it was well worth the mess, it was wonderful....so cold and sweet that it reminded you of how good ice cream tasted when you were a little kid on a hot summer day and your parents piled you into the back seat of the car saying, "Come on kids, let's go get some ice cream!" And let me tell you, the Ice Shack lived up to it's much deserved good reputation and did not disappoint us. In fact, they made new friends of the both of us and we definitely will go back soon and hopefully again and again. The staff was kind and caring and aimed to please, and we were more than pleased. And it sure didn't hurt my opinion of the place any that they had my favorite burger topping...horseradish sauce. Yum. Yum. Thank you!
