We made a reservation for 6:30 for 7 people. The only reason we came to this place was to celebrate two birthdays that were 2 days apart. (A Thursday and Saturday and we came Sunday-this matters later in the review) We got there a little early hoping to get in early, but they pulled us back right at 6:30. No big deal. Our waitress came and took our drink orders after about 10 mins and those came out a little slow. It was fine. We were chatting in our group. Then after some other party of 4 joined us, she took our orders and brought out the appetizers. Miso soup, decent, cucumber salad with a teaspoon of crab on top but the plates had been obviously prepped way earlier and stacked on each other so the food had a smashed look. She told us that our chef was running a minute behind and he’d be out soon. He came out shortly after. First of all, no more fire in the onion volcanoes or anything else? Bummed. His jokes were so scripted and somewhat forced. The poor guy tried, but it fell a little flat. It was fine though, he made the food well! At no fault of his own, the fried rice which was an upsell if $5 was “highly recommended” by the waitress (she’s probably instructed to) was not good! The rice prior to the chef frying it for us was very undercooked so the whole dish ended up being tough and just not great. The filet, lobster and chicken all were pretty delicious and cooked to our liking. No complaints there. Back to our waitress. She didn’t clear our used dishes or glasses throughout the meal, so limited space was very crowded with dirty dishes and we had to keep moving stuff around so the chef could put the food on our plates. She came around 1 time for refills and we had to ask her to take some glasses that literally didn’t fit on the table anymore. Then at the end after a busser finally cleaned our area she asked if we wanted ice cream. We were told that we could get sundaes for our birthday dinners and because our party had 4+ people one of the meals would be free- when we called to make the reservation AND when we checked in, this information was confirmed and our IDs were checked). The other party of 4 also had a birthday going on and he got his sundae. Nobody sang or even acknowledged the 3 birthdays at our table. But throughout our time there we heard 3 other tables being sung to. The waitress made no mention of our sundaes and asked what kind of ice cream we wanted. I said rainbow sherbet and it was all freezer burnt lime. We asked about the sundaes and she said “oh I forgot, it’s been a long day and it just isn’t in my brain. Do you want an extra scoop of ice cream?” We just said “no thanks, we thought we were getting sundaes” and she didn’t even care to make that right. Then the bill came and she didn’t take off one of the meals that was suppose to be free. She proceeded to argue with us and tell us that we never should have been told that. The free meal HAS to be ON the actual birthday and we tried to tell her that we were told something different both at time of our phone call for making the reservation and at the time of check in. She refused to honor it so we asked for a manager and he did honor it. But for a party of 7 and a $600 bill, I had much higher expectations. The food was good, but not $70 or so a plate good, the service was not good and the attitude of our waitress was really disappointing. Our chef was decent but I did expect a little more out of the experience. I won’t be coming back, and neither will anyone in our party of 7. Also, not sure how their tipping works, but there should be an option to tip your chef and wait staff separately. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $70–80

In response to your message Sophi regarding my review (Karla) because for an unusual reason I am not allowed to respond to your comment. My reaction to your response has left me staggered! I will not tolerate your false accusations of being under the influence of alcohol nor did I cuss at you or no ONE! and of course the individuals from the group of 7 are going to provide a 5 star review because they were not the people who had to be put through an embarrassing, unfair and unpleasant circumstance. I wonder if the roles were to switch most likely they would proceed to leave a negative review, because you are a conflictive person and have tendencies of falsely accusing customers without taking accountability of your poor work ethics and professionalism! I challenge you to post videos to confirm everything you stated is true! because based on other customers reviews that have complaint about the same issue! or coincidentally are we all DRUNK and LYING? I want to clarify we VOLUNTARLY left the restaurant!! We sought for help because I could not believe what we were exposed to. We approached a Security, and explained the situation and asked for the owners contact information, we were advise to fill out a Complaint form, and we were directed to the General Manager of El Dorado casino. We were informed that "your restaurant calls security FREQUENTLY to remove guest because they do not comply to your ridiculous seating arrangements and that many of the LOCALS are aware of the terrible reputation." It was also stated by the Casino manager that unfortunately they could not further assist us because the restaurant is not affiliated with El Dorado Casino. To anyone considering dining at this restaurant be my guest, friendly reminder BE PREPARED TO RECORD! Trust me it will be essential! I'll be anxiously waiting to watch Chef Ramsay's KICHEN NIGHTMARES next episode "ICHIBAN JAPANESE STEAK HOUSE" (not for the food but for the OBNOXIOUS MANAGER SOPHI AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE).
