We stumbled into the restaurant as it was late and many places were closing. But it turned out to be one of our best meals in Japan. The Wagu Steak was perfection. We also had the Sea Bream and Stingray fin, both were fantastic. Plus the staff could not be more friendly or welcoming. Highly recommend! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥5,000–6,000

We had an absolutely fabulous meal and experience at Ichie. The chef is very talented, friendly and service oriented. We had a set menu for 11k yen and it was worth every penny. Sashimi, pickles, crab, soup, waygu and more. Ended with a fabulous homemade matcha ice cream and custard. The chef is a wonderful human. Don’t miss this restaurant when you are in Kyoto. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: There were a lot of vegetarian options including seaweed, mushrooms and lot.
