We traveled around Japan for two months, but the person who “runs” this restaurant can be proud of being the most aggressive, rude, and malicious person we encountered. He absolutely does not represent the kindness and respect of the Japanese people. An anomaly. This morning, we were calmly waiting for the staff at Boul’ange to finish serving us. We were standing near the counter, slightly in front of this person’s closed restaurant. He came up behind us and aggressively confronted us — there’s no other word for it — telling us to leave. No hello, no please, no thank you. Only aggressive words and hostile gestures. He behaved the same way toward a young Japanese couple waiting nearby. His restaurant was closed, we were simply waiting, and we had no intention of eating at his tables (as shown by our takeaway bag). Even if this kind of thing happens in every country, this type of behavior — rare in Japan but still unacceptable — deserves to be called out. Aggression and racism solve nothing. Stay far away from this place, and read the reviews to form your own opinion. Love Japan anyway. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
