Unclear how this won any awards when it’s not even the best burger downtown. It’s decently priced for the area, but all three of us were served incredibly dry, crumbling burgers. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Dine in

Burger was a 10/10 (simple ,cheesy,good). Atmosphere kinda awkward to be eating (odd). Service was 3 really did not get on (diet cokes hot had to get ice ) but burgers were amazing. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

Amazing is an understatement. If you see the "Voted Best Burger in Austin" stamp on the wrapper at JABS, believe the hype. This is everything a smash burger is supposed to be. The patties have that perfect, crispy lacing on the edges while staying incredibly juicy in the middle. It’s stacked with beautifully melted cheese that glues the whole thing together, and the fresh jalapeños add the exact right amount of heat to cut through the richness. The bun is pillowy soft but holds up to the mess, soaking up their signature sauce—which, true to the print on their paper, really is the secret weapon here. It’s sloppy, savory, and perfectly executed. If you're anywhere near Austin and craving a burger, do yourself a favor and get to JABS.
