Was looking at the other reviews and need to clarify some things: 1) they don't play disney songs (at least not anymore), it's all japanese songs and japanese music videos. 2) the skewers are not bad, would recommend 3) the sushi is pretty good, better than expected with all the not so positive reviews highlighted. the menu probably lacks variety but for what they do serve it's pretty good. would recommend.

Disappointing experience We decided to try Japanhako after hearing good things about the food but had, what turned out to be, a very bad experience. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty so we sat down and ordered. The waitress turned up some music that was accompanying videos on a large screen facing the door. As the music was extremely loud, and I was looking forward to a dinner conversation, I asked her to turn it down. She did - about 1/100th of a turn on the knob- barely perceptible. As we waited, the loud music grew more and more annoying until my head was throbbing. So we asked again. Same response. Finally, I asked whether, as there was no one else in the restaurant, couldn't they just turn it off altogether? Two waitresses promptly told me 'No - it's not possible". So we had to take the food home and eat it there. Very disappointing. The food was OK but certainly not worth all that trouble.
