The view is fantastic and great for taking pictures. The host did tell us at the start that they are just rolling out a new menu with limited options- with that said, amongst our 6 member party we tried a decent number of the items on the menu. While the presentation was spot on, the main dinner meals were a miss in terms of flavor- in one dish even a mixture of dried cranberries and feta cheese failed to give it enough flavor perhaps due to the large amount of wild rice(?). The burger was also a miss. Sharables were better. Perhaps due to being understaffed, it took a while to get drink refill requests in- however folks were pretty friendly and courteous. Wish the new owners success with revising their new menu and a better (food) experience for their guests. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

We celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on 9/4 as has been our tradition. Our wedding night was spent at the Radisson in 1976. We have enjoyed fine dining throughout the years. There was some disappointment when JJ Aster took over. Only because the prices were raised. The quality of food was retained as was the exceptional staff.
However, this Sunday will be our last visit. The fondue appetizer was very odd. The crustini was extra crispy. And instead of carrot sticks, sticks of some kind was served. I assume it was squash rinds. I really don't know. They tasted like dirt and had the consistency of oak trim. Fortunately, the bowl of warm cheese was a bonus. More on this in a moment.
The wine and beer choices were very limited. The mixed drink was way overpriced. Especially considering the bartender had to be coached on how to make a vodka collins.
When will lettuce return to salads instead of the bitter hedge clippings used these days? And please, let the customer choose the dressing rather than serve some nasty concoction.
The wife chose the overpriced walleye special. I had the shrimp scampi-os with heavy cream sauce and tomatoes. There were no tomatoes. The heavy cream sauce was actually just melted butter. That's where the bowl of warm cheese came to the rescue. Adding some cheese to the scampi brought the dish up to palatable.
We look forward to when this group shuts down and is replaced by someone with abilities. It's the best location north of the twin cities occupied by the worst talent.

I went with 3 friends last night. When we left, we all agreed it just wasn’t good food.I ordered the prawns and crab claws, and was told they didn’t have any claws. So I switched to fondue with bread and veggies. When it came, there was no fondue pot, but warmed up cheese in a shallow bowl. With 4 thin slices of baguette. And raw broccoli and carrots with some cheese curds. The cheese was awful, and I had no interest in raw veggies. The beet salad was okay, not great. My friend ordered prime rib rare. It was medium well to well when served. Another ordered Chicken with pickle, I told her I thought it would be odd. It was. The wine list was horrible, nothing but really cheap wine ( think $10-12 in a store ) marked up as usual. I don’t care about the mark up, just want a decent wine and there wasn’t one on the menu. The rotating restaurant was very fun!!! Maybe people might consider going for the view and ordering appetizers. But save your money and eat elsewhere.
