We have been going to Jake’s for well over 30+ years for Birthdays, special occasions. Tonight went for a birthday. Reservations were for 6:00. Should have known when walked in and two people at bar. Unheard of. Jakes bar was always packed. We checked in went to bar, no problem getting seats! One bartender who was running back and forth balancing many jobs it seemed. Bartender was very good no complaints. Finally at 6:30 went and inquired why we hadn’t gotten called yet. “Oh gee”. Well went down hill from there. We just left. Hostess was very stoned and not connecting with what was going on. Sad to lose such an icon of a place. We will NEVER return! Seemed to be one waitress and one bartender. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The food was delicious but the service was awful. The manager made it right for us but I would be hesitant to go again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Truffled Deviled Eggs, Jake's Haystack Onion Rings

My 70th Birthday celebration with the family at Jake's Restaurant! First of all we had appetizers and sparkling wine (Schramsburg) on the patio, which on a beautiful evening, the setting was awesome. We moved inside for the dinner and we had a wonderful meal that all enjoyed very much. We had 11 of us for the dinner, and the staff had two waitress's taking care of us the entire time. They were very efficient and made sure that not only the food was prepared perfectly, but that we were well taken care too. The soup (Cream of Corn) was really really good. It was rich, like it should be, and really tasty. I had the salad too, but couldn't finish it as I had already eaten too much before the main entre came. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wife had the Copper River Salmon which was also really good she said. Other's shared a huge Porterhouse and one had the house favorite Duck! All were very happy with the service and the food! The place was packed too on a Friday night. Surprising, as they don't have the usual Milwaukee Friday Fish Fry either, but that is most likely why they were full. We will be back and can't wait. Don
