It’s for the beef lovers. It’s an authentic Japanese BBQ place serving high quality beef. We especially loved the chunk of Harami beef (diaphragm). It will be cooked in front of you by the store person. the It’s not only photogenic but tasty. It’s a small store. Recommend to come with a small group of people. This is a cute little yakiniku place in Akasaka just a little off the main drag of Roppongi avenue. A colleague had recommended it (it’s also close to my house), so I decided to give it a try. The menu has your typical yakiniku fare for the most part, although don’t expect more Korean style bulgogi and calbi. Rather, the menu is a simple list of premium cuts of meat and side dishes. We ordered the chef’s recommendation of 5 cuts of “red” meat (no innards or tongue), as well as a la carte selections of the pork set (normally it’s Korean style pork belly, but they were out of it so it was a tasty pork job instead), “10 second” premium thin slice beef, “wasabi” calbi, and a rump cut. In addition we had some kimchi side dishes and delicious Korean seaweed with sesame oil. Our server was super attentive and friendly, and took time to answer all of our questions. The restaurant is small, and while I don’t think a reservation is absolutely required, you probably want to consider it just in case as the place can fill up quickly. Prices are very reasonable, although portions are not huge, and the kimchi is not all you can eat, so if you are someone who likes to eat a lot kimchi, be aware that it is a per order charge and they are small orders. I definitely recommend this place especially if you’re in the Akasaka/Tameike Sanno area, and are craving yakiniku in a quaint package. Also, I really enjoyed the charcoal grills that are placed at each table to grill the meat – the perfect temperature for grilling your beat to your preferred taste. For two people we spent about $115 (17000 yen) with drinks, really not too bad, and we ordered more than other tables in terms of meat quantity. One note, while the menu is partially in English, it is def not a restaurant geared towards tourists and foreigners, I speak Japanese so we had no problem navigating the menu and communicating with the restaurant.
