I really wanted to like Java Jill’s. The vibe is there, the staff were genuinely friendly, and the baked goods in the case looked like they belonged on a magazine cover. Unfortunately, the appearance was where the good news ended. My breakfast arrived cold, which would have been forgivable except it was cold after being warmed up, which is a special kind of achievement. Reheated yet still chilly is a texture I didn’t know I’d be experiencing, and it left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. It became clear pretty quickly that nothing was made to order. A little “made fresh” love would have gone a long way here, but that wasn’t on the menu. The coffee didn’t rescue things. The cold brew was so bland I started to wonder if the beans had simply waved at the water from across the room. Regular coffee wasn’t much better. I’ll give credit where it’s due: the pastries looked fantastic, and the staff seemed lovely. But after skimming a few of the other reviews, I think my stomach and I dodged a bullet by not ordering one. Disappointing all around. I left hungry, mildly caffeinated, and oddly impressed that food could be both reheated and cold at the same time Price per person: $30–40 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

1st time I was handed the wrong drink (asked for cookie butter latte, was given a peanut butter mocha) after a super long wait, then I was given a cup of iced milk she forgot the espresso (this is the owner btw) same owner of small cakes who argued with me when I called and said I received a raw cupcake…. Her excuse when I asked for a compensation /I waited 25+ mins for coffee to be made wrong twice - was that everyone was ordering a specialty coffee. It’s a specialty coffee shop…. Price per person: $10–20
