First time in Slidell, I Googled a breakfast location and Jay P's came up. The reviews said this reasturant was good...that was an understatement. Everything was perfect...unfortunately my eyes were bigger than my stomache. I appreciate the service and when I return to Slidell, I will return. Keep up the good work. Meal type: Breakfast

A nice low-key cafe with hella good food. It is served in a takeout box which I didn't mind(saved time when taking leftovers home!), everything is clean and has that small town comfort feel. I got the Shrimp & Grits, which were SUPREMELY rich and buttery. They do NOT skimp on the amount of shrimp either, or the size. Coffee was nice too. For the price point this is definitely worth the bang for your buck. The lady manning the counter was lovely and attentive without crowding, made me feel quite welcome.
