I want to give you zero stars!!! I am writing to report a deeply distressing and unacceptable experience at one of your Jewel-Osco location in spring grove IL. During my visit, I was verbally abused, harassed, and subjected to discriminatory and racially stereotyped remarks by customers it all began with your Cashier not feeling like help me because of my Race. All your employees stood by and failed to intervene. Your staff did not offer assistance, protection, or support at any point, despite witnessing the situation escalate. Their inaction left me feeling unsafe, unprotected, and emotionally overwhelmed. The experience caused significant distress, to the point where I felt physically unwell from the stress and fear. This incident represents a serious failure in customer safety, employee training, and adherence to basic civil rights protections. No customer should ever be subjected to this type of treatment in your stores. As a result of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable shopping at Jewel-Osco. I strongly urge your organization to review your policies, training, and store leadership to ensure that no other customer is ever placed in this position and made felt uncomfortable unsafe. Do better !

Was at the store today. Went to deli. Tried to be patient. Took the clerk forever to find the lunch meat I needed. Then asked for cheese and they had at least 5 slicer’s and she was waiting for one that was being used and just chatting to the clerk while the manger of the deli was just watching.. just told her at that point to forget the order. The clerk needs more training as does the manger of deli. I also understand you need to stock shelves but seems stuffs was just in the aisles and hard to get around.
